We founded Sparque with the aim of making access to high-quality ebikes for daily transport easier and the daily commute more enjoyable.
Our customers access high-quality ebikes and ecargobikes through our unique All-Sorted E-bike Plan; pay for your new ebike directly from your pre-tax dollars, including a high-security lock, maintenance and repairs, insurance against damage and theft and roadside assistance.
We are serious about helping people make the switch to an ebike for their and their family’s daily transport, so we also provide support through bike skills refresher training and route-finding help. As a team, we strive to make it as easy as possible for everyone to enjoy the benefits of an ebike in their life.
In addition to our unique leasing service, Sparque is also an official reseller for a range of (European) ebike brands. We work with premium products we love and use ourselves, provide incredible service to our customers, and change the world by making it easier for people improve their commute through the power of the ebike.

What’s the opportunity?
We’re looking for a highly motivated and organised senior bicycle mechanic to join the team in our brand-new West Melbourne showroom and fully-equipped workshop.
You’ll be working with advanced products and customers who expect and value great service, product knowledge and the ability to answer their questions. Are you mechanically minded with the ability to manage and organise work in a systematic and timely manner, balancing attention to detail with pragmatic problem-solving skills? Please read on!
As a senior mechanic at Sparque you will be responsible for:
Building new e-bikes and servicing e-bikes for our existing customers
Helping to manage the workshop, including ordering of spare parts and equipment
Handover of e-bikes and induction of customers
Stepping in to show customers our range of e-bikes during peak times
Managing service bookings and assisting customers with technical queries
We are looking for someone who:
Is an experienced bicycle mechanic; experience with ebikes is a pre but interest in ebikes is essential
Has the ability and motivation to learn new skills and keep up to date with technical developments
Can effectively problem-solve
Has great interpersonal and communication skills
Has a “can do” attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
Has a service-minded attitude
Enjoys working with a team to grow a business
Can work independently
Can organise their work systematically and in a timely manner
Is comfortable using a computer and (willing to learn to use) systems like Point-of-Sale, workshop management software and e-bike system diagnostics
Is available minimum 24hrs/week, with a preference for 32-38hrs/week.
