AusCycling is the nation’s peak riding and cycling body, representing more than 5 million Australians who ride bikes. AusCycling is responsible for programs, projects and initiatives that encompass BMX, Cyclo-cross, eSports, Track, Mountain Bike, Road, Para and recreational cycling.
We help school kids learn to ride, we stage more than 500 events each year, we nurture clubs and create pathways, and we are responsible for the training, welfare, and performance of Australian athletes at Olympic, Paralympic & Commonwealth Games, UCI World Championships, and other major international events.

Team Purpose
AusCycling’s Sport Pillar oversees events and racing; workforce education and accreditation programs; competition rules and the State / Territory delivery network.
Position Purpose
The focus for the role includes club support and development initiatives, event delivery, participation and volunteer growth, community engagement, junior pathways and the promotion of a range of accreditation programs.
Responsibilities
Club Support and Development
Lead the implementation of AC programs and club development initiatives
Build and maintain strong relationships with Clubs
Directly supporting club development plans through the Club network
Participation Growth
Promote, support and deliver the “on the ground delivery” of AusCycling’s participation programs in the NT
Events and Racing
Lead the delivery of the NT competition calendar and appointed events
Provide administrative support for the NT level competitions and series
Support Clubs to ensure the safe and fair delivery of their competitions
Education
Promote and support the “on the ground delivery” of AusCycling’s workforce development and accreditation programs
Pathways
Support the delivery of the NT Teams, Squads or Academies

Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in sport management or business is seen as favorable
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Demonstrated collaborative leadership style and volunteer management experience
Strong communication skills, including verbally and in writing, and the ability to advocate, represent, influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts should they arise
Experience establishing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating community programs

Working with Children’s Check clearance from the relevant authority
Satisfactory Police Check (in the absolute discretion of the Company)

Notes
This role requires the incumbent to hold and maintain a Working with Children Clearance, along with a drivers license. Due to the timing of AusCycling programs, this role also requires flexibility in work hours including being available to work weekends, public holidays and out of hours’ work as necessary (to support our projects).
