Our ideal candidate
Seeking a lead mechanic to run and improve the mechanical workshop. The position will be based in our Brighton store location. You will be responsible for all workshop related mechanics and communicate repair and maintenance needs to customers within specific time frames. You will have had a minimum of 2 years experience in Bicycle Mechanics. We are looking for someone dynamic, with the ability to re-develop procedures and optimise the mechanical side of Bike Society.
Responsibilities
Manage everything in the workshop including customer communication, and quality control.
Communicate repairs and maintenance needs to customers.
Organise pick up and/or delivery of services to customers.
Building and repairing all types of bikes to an exceptional standard.
Assemble factory delivered bikes.
Custom bike building from frame upwards.
Service mountain bike suspension and electronic systems.
Working with suppliers/brands on warranty issues.

You have strong presentation skills, and can ensure that the working environment is clean, organised and presentable to customers.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
Proven history in bicycle mechanics (minimum of 2 years).
Proficient in servicing all Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo drivetrains.
Proficient in bleeding modern hydraulic disc brakes and wheel-building.
Experience in suspension servicing and dropper post servicing is preferable.
