Field market developer (NSW)


PSI Cycling is a proud Australian wholesale distributor of world class and innovative bicycle brands such as Cannondale, Mongoose, SRAM. 

The Field Market Developer plays a critical role that creates, fosters and maintains relationships with our wide-reaching network of bicycle retailers, brand partners and riders of all levels and experience. As the Field Market Developer, you will elevate and grow the PSI Cycling brand sales and representation in your assigned territory.

About the role:

In this exciting and influential sales role, you will be a brand ambassador for the PSI Cycling brands. In this role you will:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify new business opportunities within the assigned territory.

  • Perform and maintain regular call cycle throughout the territory.

  • Attend industry events and product launches and mingle with like-minded, passionate industry enthusiasts.

  • Support brand and product knowledge development by owning education and brand awareness for retailers and riders across the territory.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of products.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour to identify opportunities and threats to the business.

  • Support and maintain sales and merchandising standards throughout the territory.

  • Participate in the deployment and approval of advertising and product promotion programs.

  • Coordinate and proactively communicate with various departments within PSI Cycling, including inside sales, logistics, brand management and finance.

  • Continuously improve product knowledge and sales skills through training, workshops, and industry events.

To be successful you will:

  • Minimum of two years of demonstrated success in direct B2B sales experience within a wholesale distribution environment, ideally with experience being in a specialty sport industry.

  • Experience in retail and/or cycling industry an advantage.

  • Have a winning attitude and a passion for action sports and adventure. 

  • Be self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.

  • Take a consultative selling approach and have successful negotiation skills.

  • Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain good relationships with customers. 

  • Strong planning skills and demonstrated experience with planning and maintaining call cycles.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Must hold a current driver's license.
