Events coordinator - Sydney


We are looking for someone with the right blend of skills to join our energetic team as a Smooth(ie) Events Coordinator

Pay – negotiable depending on experience (starting from 65K pro-rata- $32.89hr)

Part time (23hr a week)

THE ROLE

  • Manage two small event teams (about 12-15 casual event staff in total) ensuring all event and logistics matters are adhered to including customer liaison, filling in run sheets, email staff and organising rosters for our NSW and QLD events

  • Regular (every 2-3 months) trips to our Brisbane location to connect with event staff there

  • Administrative tasks including customer communication, following and updating manuals and SOPs, ordering suppliers, packing for events and keeping NSW warehouse and office tidy and well stocked

  • Talking to customers about their event needs and creating run sheets with required information

  • Can work well under pressure with last-minute event requirements.

  • Can prioritise work well as each week is different.

  • Lead events from time to time (1-2 times a fortnight)

  • Potential for business development and social media work

Selection Criteria

  • Has at least two years experience in event logistics or in another area of expertise that would be transferable (ie office administration)

  • Has a passion for detail, being organised, solution focused and working with people

  • Looking for a stable career in a fun and ethical small business

  • Can work independently

  • Has excellent computer skills including competency with Excel, Word, Google Docs, Google Drive

  • Professional communication skills with experience in customers facing roles

  • Is proactive and self-driven with a positive "Can do" attitude · Ability to take initiative, be resourceful, think for themselves, be decisive and problem solve

  • Can lift 15-20kg bikes and other heavy event equipment (marquees and tables etc)

Desirable but not essential:

  • Hospitality experience

  • Bike maintenance experience
