We are a young but experienced bicycle store, doing new bike & accessories sales and workshop repairs, including the assembly of new bicycles. We take great pride in quality of service, honesty and promoting the healthy lifestyle of most aspects of cycling, including but not limited to road, mountainbike, gravel, e-bike, youth and childrens, and BMX. We are located in a small country town and have a growing business. We work with industry leading brands as well as niche suppliers to offer a great overall selection to help most riders.
We are looking for another person like us that loves riding, has at least some experience in a retail environment (helping customers, a basic understanding of cycling and some mechanical aspects, punctual, well kept and wanting to exceed customer expectations), can work Saturdays if needed as well as select week days. Initally we would look at hiring the right applicant as a casual staff member, with the possibility of becoming permanent part time after a satisfactory time frame of reliability and the ability to show an understanding of the role and a display of good customer service.
We will value someone that has experience in and around cycling, although this is not mandatory. The role will see you both in the workshop and on the sales floor, including answering calls, taking customer details for orders, day to day retail jobs such as marking and stocking product, researching product from suppliers, troubleshooting tasks, funds handling (cash, EFTPOS).
We have an attractive staff pricing incentive from within the shop and from various suppliers, once the correct applicant has proven they can deal with the basic duties required of them. There is some flexibility of rostered days for racing/riding opportunities, and we offer instore as well as online training.
We love our area, and the successful applicant will also be a face of the store out in the community, so honesty and reliability are essential. We come across as fairly relaxed, but we take what we do quite seriously.
