We're seeking an experienced and passionate Bike Shop Mechanic to join our team and help keep our customers' bikes in peak condition.
Job Description:As a Bike Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality service and repairs on a variety of bikes. From routine maintenance to complex diagnostics and custom builds, you’ll ensure every bike that leaves the shop is in excellent working condition, enhancing the riding experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a full range of bike services, including tune-ups, repairs, and custom builds
Diagnose mechanical issues and provide effective solutions
Assemble new bikes, ensuring they are tuned and safe for customers
Provide technical advice and assistance to customers on bike care and upgrades
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workshop
Keep up to date with the latest cycling technologies, components, and repair techniques
Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standard, on time and within budget
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure customer needs are met
Requirements:
Proven experience as a bike mechanic in a retail or workshop environment
In-depth knowledge of a wide range of bikes, components, and repair techniques
Ability to work with both road and mountain bikes, e-bikes experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers
A passion for cycling and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
