Account manager - Melbourne


Global Fitness and Leisure is a fast-growing Australian business, with an industry leading presence in Fitness, Bicycle and Kids Play Equipment categories. 

If you haven’t heard of us, chances are you’ve come across our well-known and internationally distributed brands: Reebok, Adidas, Lifespan Fitness, Lifespan Kids and Rocky Mountain.

Our eCommerce client portfolio covers over 80 retailers including Bunnings, Harvey Norman, Big W, Qantas, Myer and more.

As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with our major eCommerce clients, ensuring their satisfaction, driving revenue growth, and adeptly solving any challenges that arise.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Strategic Account Planning: Develop and execute strategic account plans tailored to each client's unique business objectives and goals. Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within existing accounts.

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for our eCommerce customers, understanding their needs, objectives, and challenges. Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams such as sales, marketing, and product development to ensure alignment on client needs and deliverables. Advocate for client priorities within the organization.

  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling of products and services. Identify opportunities to expand the scope of services offered to clients based on their evolving needs.

  • Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to track client satisfaction, retention, and overall account health. Proactively address any issues or concerns to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and address issues or concerns raised by clients, utilizing strong problem-solving skills to find effective solutions and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

  • Identifying and Converting New Business Leads: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the eCommerce sector. Utilize market research and industry insights to identify potential clients and develop targeted outreach strategies. Convert leads into long-term partnerships through effective communication and value proposition delivery.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in account management, preferably within the eCommerce industry.

  • Strong sales talent with proven cross and upsell ability

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Ability to think strategically and develop actionable plans to drive results.

  • Competent ability to work with Microsoft Office (including Outlook and Excel)

  • Good initiative and problem-solving skills

  • Proven track record of exceeding targets and objectives.

  • Current driver's license

  • Availability for occasional domestic travel

 

Desired, but not essential

  • A clear passion for fitness, exercise equipment or children’s play equipment
